I am very lucky to have two daughters. My oldest, Scarlett, is 11 and Kate is 6. My husband and I immediately decided that we wanted our children to have international names. Our first choice was Scarlett, obviously inspired by the legendary Scarlett O'Hara, the heroine of the classic American movie, Gone With The Wind. For our second, we immediately fell in love with Kate - inspired by the icon Kate Moss and of course the British princess Kate Middleton.
My girls already have strong personalities and I can definitely see that reflected in their fashion tastes...they are total opposites! Scarlett is very tomboyish and refuses to wear girly clothes. Her looks seem very inspired by the French stylist Hedi Slimane. Kate is totally different, very girly and she loves princess outfits.
Of course. I chose some special sets from a boutique called La Châtelaine in Paris, which is a true institution that represents everything wonderfully French and classic! I got some little sets, a hat, a body, a jumpsuit - nothing was forgotten!
It's so hard to choose! I really like timeless French brands such as Bonpoint, Bonton and Petit Bateau but also the poetic and bohemian world of N°74...not forgetting all the wonderful international brands such as Stella McCartney Kids, Misha and Veja.
I absolutely love a scarf and a pair of baby slippers that were both knitted by the great-grandmothers of my girls. I'm really emotionally attached to those. I've also preciously kept a baptism dress and a Baby Dior hat.
I really love kids' fashion, it's so much more imaginative than adult fashion! I am increasingly interested in, and concerned by, ethically produced and manufactured clothes - indeed everything green and sustainable, I think is really important. Myself, I always pay attention to cottons that are labelled as organic and Made in France. I always try to buy items that include recycled materials, vegan leathers and vegetable dyes.
As a stylist and a consultant, a travel a lot throughout the year. Like a lot of working women, I end up juggling my multiple lives; as a mother, as a wife and as an entrepreneur! Thanks to my career and my passion for wellness, I have been lucky enough to meet a wide variety of professionals in the beauty industry. I quickly understood that the key to beautiful skin is the result of a relentless regime! Nevertheless, I was never entirely satisfied by the products that were available on the market and I could never find a brand that offered everything I was looking for: a holistic approach for inside and out, with an emphasis on conscious auto-massage...I am convinced that the only thing that can truly have a visible impact is a global attitude to beauty. This is what drove me to create Holidermie to promote an "Inside and Out" philosphy to beauty. I worked for three years to perfect an effective synergy balance between skincare, dietary supplements and an extremely rigorous attitude to ingredients. I'm now spreading the word!
Organization is key! It's truly essential for the wellbeing of all moms who work hard. A good sense of organization allows you to optimize your time most efficiently and enjoy quality time with your kids. In my home, breakfast is a special family moment, where we take the time to chat about what happened yesterday and what we have planned for the upcoming day. Not forgetting our evening ritual of stories and cuddles.
I really enjoy taking time to bake nice cakes with my girls and teach them my passion for cooking and all my cooking tricks. I've always been fond of pastry and I think I managed to pass on this gourmet hobby to the girls! Whenever we can, we are all gather as a family and drive to our family home at the countryside, Château Malrome. It is an heavenly place, perfect to create a bubble and really enjoy quality time with each other.
