The savanna is calling. We need to face facts: children's fashion for this spring-summer season seems to be made for an African safari. Here's the proof.
Amboseli Park, Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru… all of these names evoke images worthy of The Lion King: "a landscape that had not its like in all the world [...] no fat on it and no luxuriance anywhere [...] The colors were dry and burnt, like the colors in pottery." wrote Karen Blixen, in Out of Africa. If you want your little ones to adventure in comfort and style, they need to blend in. So why not choose some furry friends from the savanna as style companions? We have crocodile prints, zebra-inspired shoes, tiger backpacks, elephant motif T shirts, braided caps with brightly-colored twill ribbons... not to mention appearances by the sky-high star of the African landscape, the giraffe. Safari jackets and khaki tones are also an important staple. So, now they can go off and discover gorillas in the mist, endure the midday sun and evening chill and face a ride in a 4x4 or a hike in the wild. Just make sure your safari explorers look smart on their adventures.
