Perfect for birthdays, this colorful and simple pasta dish will amaze the kids. Cooking can also be magical!
Preparation time: 10 minutes Cooking time: 10 minutes
Step 1 Cook the pasta in a pan with salted boiling water. You can also use rice, it works perfectly.
Step 2 While the pasta is cooking, take out 6 ramekins, one for each color. In each ramekin, mix 2 tablespoons of water with a few drops of food coloring. With basic colors: yellow, red and blue, you can make purple (red + blue), orange (red + yellow) and green (yellow + blue). The more drops you add, the deeper the color.
Step 3 Once the pasta is done, strain it. For this next step, you gotta be fast! Split the hot pasta and dip them into the ramekins until they get a homogenous and beautiful color. If you have a lot of pasta, repeat the process several times.
Step 4 Then pour the colored pasta in a bowl and mix them together to get a beautiful rainbow. Serve at once, before it gets cold!
Tip You can use Ziplock bags to color your pasta. It’ll make the mixing process easier. Add your pasta, the food coloring and a little water and shake!
