Period and Application
The guaranteed prices are those displayed on the website at the time of order placement. These may, however, be modified at any time in the event of special conditions arising in relation to certain economic factors, taxes and duties, changes in the cost of labour or raw materials, any special requests on your part, etc.
All prices are stated in euros, in sterling pounds or dollars (US, CA, AU of HKD), as selected by you, and do not include shipping costs, which will automatically be calculated and indicated on your purchase order (your shopping bag).
All prices are displayed inclusive of value added tax (VAT), which may vary, depending on the billing country.
With regard to export sales, the prices are understood as FOB Paris. You will be responsible for customs clearance and the payment of any taxes and duties.
1. Your shopping bag is your purchase order.
2. If you choose to place an order, you will need to enter the information required for billing and delivery of the items. The information that you provide will then be binding on you. In the case of an error in the delivery details, neither the website nor BEBEO may be held liable for any inability to deliver the item(s).
3. After submitting your details, you will be asked to choose your payment method. Your order will automatically be submitted and will constitute an irrevocable commitment on your part, which can only be contested in the specific cases stipulated herein (see your right to cancel).
All orders are considered firm and may only be cancelled with BEBEO's consent, and this under conditions that will indemnify the latter against any harm or damage incurred as a result of the cancellation.
At each stage in processing your order (confirmation, any changes in availability, and shipment), an email will automatically be sent to you, assuming the email address was correctly entered on the registration form. The email confirming the processing of your order and shipment of your parcel will provide the parcel number and a link to the carrier's website for delivery tracking.
MELIJOE.COM and BEBEO reserve the right to refuse an order for any reason whatsoever (problems with the order, with stock levels, etc.). The company will have five business days in which to inform you if it is unable to fill your order and to ask you to either change or cancel it.
Your banking information is encrypted using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol via the ADYEN solution. Melijoe.com has no visibility on actual bank card numbers, and ADYEN does not store those numbers on its servers. No person has access to the bank details of its clients by any means, including computer terminals or printouts. Payments can be made using the following methods:
- Credit / Debit Card (Visa, Master Card, Amex, Diners Club, Maestro, JCB, Discover)
- Gift cards are valid for 12 months following their date of payment.
- Gift cards are virtual and are sent by mail to the recipient once the entire order has been validated and payment received. A confirmation email is sent to the sender to confirm delivery.
- The currency of the gift card is the same for the buyer and the recipient. For example, if the buyer selects an amount in USD ($), the recipient can only complete their order in USD ($). The same applies to other currencies.
- A gift card can be used in several instances until the remaining balance is zero during the period of validity.
- Gift cards can not be exchanged or returned, including for loss or theft.
- Gift cards are non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for money.
- However, any product bought with a gift card can be exchanged. The gift card balance will be credited with the corresponding amount to the amount used. If necessary, you will benefit from supplemental store credit. You can consult your store credit onlin in the rubric My credit and Offers.
- Gift card redemption is restricted to the purchase of products on the site and excludes the purchase of a new gift card.
- The gift card is used as a payment method for products in an order, delivery charges or eventual additional charges.
- If the total amount of your order is less than the value of your gift card, the remaining balance will be credited to your account for future purchases.
- If the amount of your order is greater than the value of your gift card, you can complete payment with any of the accepted methods listed on the site or other active store credit.
- Melijoe is not responsible for the delivery of a gift card to an incorrect or inexistant email address. In this case, only the buyer is held responsible.
- Melijoe is not responsible in case of theft, loss, destruction or unauthorized use of a gift card by an individual.
- Melijoe reserves the right to cancel a gift card if deemed necessary.
- Promotional codes do not apply to the purchase of gift cards
Delivery zones and times
We deliver items wherever you may wish. If you would like to have your order delivered to a friend or neighbor's house, or your place of work, please indicate this during the order process via the carriers DHL, Colissimo or Chronopost (according to your country). An estimate of your delivery time will be indicated when you choose your carrier.
Below are the different carrier options for orders from Melijoe.com:
- Chronopost Relais
- Mondial Relay
Carrier options vary according to delivery country.
Delivery of the product is made directly to the recipient indicated and each delivery will require a signature.
Exception: Colissimo, a carrier offered only in France, may deposit an order in a letter box, if conform to their guidelines.
It is recommended, in all instances, to verify the contents and condition of your items before signing the carrier's signature form. In the case of an issue (item broken, item missing, damaged packaging) we recommend that you indicate as such immediately on the signature form, or by contacting the carrier in the following 24 hours.
This written proof from the carrier company will help to facilitate any refund request, but it is not obligatory.
For deliveries against a signature, if you or the intended recipient are not present at the time of delivery, and your delivery cannot be left in the letter box, a delivery notice will be left at your address, indicating where and when you may collect your order. Your order may be stored at a collection point. If you do not collect your order within the carrier's time limit, your order will be returned to BEBEO (Melijoe) who reserve the right to refund the cost of your products. Any transport costs will be charged to the client.
In the case of late delivery, you should contact the carrier company or their distribution partner (in the case of La Poste) to verify the status of your package. If necessary, you can contact the Melijoe customer service team by email in order to open a dispute or investigation request to find your order.
For all significant delay, we are committed to offering you FREE delivery on your next order from Melijoe. Nevertheless, delays in delivery time will not automatically apply the right to damages, nor the cancellation of an order in process. Delays may be due to partial or full strikes, internal or external to the company, transport or supply-chain blocks, government or legal restrictions...Melijoe will not be held responsible for laws, rulings or any other instances resulting in delivery delays at borders.
In no instance, once a delivery is made, should the package be returned back to the carrier. If you note an issue with your order, you must contact Melijoe's customer service team immediately. Any package returned directly to the carrier will not be reimbursed or made the subject of a complaint investigation.
So that your complaint investigation may be carried out, you must contact Melijoe's customer service team in the 30 days following the confirmation of your order. Following this period, we will not be able to carry out your request.
Pre-ordering allows you to place an advanced order for items that will be arriving soon as well as items that will be restocked.
The same conditions apply to payments of pre-orders as traditional orders.
The conditions regarding the right to cancel, return or exchange items in a pre-order are the same as traditional orders.
The estimated arrival date for pre-order items at Melijoe.com is the best available estimation provided by the company BEBEO. BEBEO is not liable for any eventual modifications or delays pertaining to the date announced at the moment of pre-order payment. Shipping conditions are the same as a traditional order.
If, in an exceptional case, the pre-order cannot be fulfilled, the company BEBEO commits to reimburse the item(s) concerned. The reimbursement of a pre-order in treated in the same manner as a traditional order.
Right to Cancel, Return & Exchange
In the case of distance sales (i.e. where the two parties are not physically present at the same time), Article L 121-20 of the French Consumer Code entitles you to change your mind and exercise your right to cancel within a period of 14 clear days, without requiring justification and without incurring any charges, with the exception of the return shipping costs. This period begins on the date of receipt of your items or acceptance of a quote for services.
Return requests are made by logging onto the MELIJOE.COM website and going to "My orders" on the "My Account" page: you will see a list of the orders you have placed; simply click on the order number, then select the products you want to return, enter the reason and submit your return. You will be given a return number. You can return the items within seven days, at your own expense and in their original packaging.
A credit note valid for one year will then be generated, along with a code used to apply the credit (you can access this code under "My discount vouchers" on the "My Account" page). At any time, you can choose to receive a refund for your purchase (excluding shipping costs) by bank transfer in euro (all bank fees will be at your expense in the case of international transfers).
Your refund or credit note will only be processed once our Customer Service has verified the quantity and quality of the items returned to us. Items must not have been used (they may however have been tried on).
This right to cancel is exercised without any penalties, with the exception of the return shipping costs.
Please download the cancellation form here.
