The collab' of the moment : Petit Bateau x Jean Jullien
You’re probably no stranger to his cartoon-like approach and refined style: graduate from the acclaimed Central Martins College of Art and Design, this season, the French illustrator Jean Jullien signs an adorable collab’ with Petit Bateau.
Ten graphic as well as cosy pieces for babies, children and adults, knitted in the House’s French factory, in Troyes. And for the occasion, Jean Jullien has created an adorable and mischievous little family: a cat, a dalmatian,
a ram and a zebra, each with different prints (shading, spots, stripes…) echoing the animals’ coats. Got to catch them all!
« For me, Petit Bateau is a special brand, with expert craftsmanship and a strong history. I stepped into its universe by trying to make myself small, to learn, to understand, and the visit of the Troyes factory was decisive for me.
Discovering the production processes, having the chance to talk to the people… I found everybody to be very generous and we worked together, hand-in-hand. As a matter of fact, it was also in the Troyes factory that I had the idea
to create the ram: it appeared as a logo on one of the machines there! » Jean Jullien
