Second stage of fashion month, after a frantic week in New York: London, the epicentre of audacity and avant-garde.
This year in particular, the capital is using its voice via the British Fashion Council’s initiatives: six runway shows open to the public, creative art installations, immersive experiences and round-tables with expert panels…
And, the running theme: the #PositiveFashion project, which aims to encourage fashion’s best practices (ethical sourcing, sustainable processes, diversity within the industry, and so many more…). London, however,
remains first and foremost a hub for creators constantly reinventing their classics with the eccentric twists we love. Trench coats crossed out with Burberry’s new oversized logo, multicoloured fringes at Stella McCartney,
funky prints by Paul Smith… Did you love these pieces from the men and women’s runway shows? Here they are in their very own “mini me” versions. And they are at Melijoe, of course!
Checks, always, but revisited with a touch of streetwear: this season, the Burberry kids mix preppy trenches with comfortable joggers, fringed scarves with urban-styled belt bags, all signed with the new logo,
introduced at Riccardo Tisci’s arrival as head of the iconic fashion house. Did someone say ‘enfants terribles’?
Stella’s mantra for children’s fashion? Colourful, whimsical and comfortable pieces, always more ethics… And eyes full of stars! Our favourite detail from this season? Multicoloured fringes, piñata style. Simply irresistible.
Since 1976, he brings the “The” in the English fashion scene, with a dandy yet relaxed style which journeys through the eras. The newest pieces from the season are full of vivid blues and oranges, all striped, of course.
The surprise guests? The Tower of London and… the T-Rex! Roarrrr
