Marrakech special

An afternoon at Majorelle

Nestled in a palm grove of the medina, French painter Jacques Majorelle created, in the '30s, one of the most beautiful attractions in Marrakech: the garden of Majorelle. A lover of nature, he created a luxurious masterpiece in the form of a garden, composed of exotic plants, rare species and hundreds of birds perched along the central pond. More than a mere garden, the space is a vegetal haven of peace that was covered several years later by an iconic shade of blue, a navy hue that is both clear and intense, perfected by the artist himself. Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent made Majorelle home in 1980. Today, Majorelle belongs to the foundation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent and is open to the public and free for children under 12 years old, just like the Berber Museum in the former atelier of Jacques Majorelle. Step into Majorelle and transport your children into a world of dreams...
